not really, if canvas already has painting on it, suggest new canvas, yet if you're ok with painting over, it would be up to you, kilz appears to be oil based, and would not be good if mixed with acrylics, so the type of kilz paint may make a difference as to what you would be painting over top as well, if art is all in fun, then ok, its up to you, if you have any other flat white acrylic based paints or primers, may use those instead,
